Counseling for Young Adults

Two people are sitting on a balcony's ledge, with their legs hanging over the edge. The person on the left is wearing black sneakers and dark jeans, while the person on the right is wearing white sneakers and black shorts.

You’re figuring out who you are — and that’s a lot to carry.

Being a young adult today isn’t easy. Between pressure from school, family, work, and social media, it’s no wonder so many people between the ages of 16 and 30 feel anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed. Add past trauma, grief, or identity struggles to the mix — and it’s hard to know where to even begin.

Therapy can give you a space to slow down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and start creating a life that feels more true to who you are. At Wildflowers In Bloom Counseling, Caitlin Bloom, LPCC, provides trauma-informed counseling for young adults who want to feel more grounded, confident, and connected.

You don’t need to have it all figured out — but you can feel more like yourself again.

Common Reasons Young Adults Come to Therapy

  • Anxiety, depression, and mood disorders

  • Shame, guilt, and self-doubt

  • Relationship issues and breakups

  • Family conflict or boundary challenges

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences

  • Grief and loss

  • Identity exploration (gender, sexuality, cultural identity, etc.)

  • Life transitions (graduation, new jobs, moving out, etc.)

Caitlin works with clients 16 years of age and older, including high school and college students, recent grads, early-career professionals, and anyone feeling lost in the “in-between” season of life.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

You might feel like you have to keep it together all the time — for your parents, your professors, your job, or your friends. But in therapy, you don’t have to perform. You just get to be you.

Caitlin’s approach blends practical tools with deep emotional work. She uses trauma-informed, attachment-based, and somatic techniques, while also supporting clients through a feminist, anti-oppressive lens.

Whether you're dealing with burnout, unpacking old wounds, or just trying to figure out what you want from life, therapy is a place to ask the big questions without fear of being judged.
